THE PROCESS, EXPLAINED.
Our service is an important way of helping the environment; by restoring doors and furniture we are helping with woodland conservation. All doors, fireplaces and items are first immersed in an eco-friendly dipping solution to remove the vast majority of paint and varnish.

We then pressure wash all items to remove an residue before they are left to slow dry to prevent shrinkage before they are places in a dehumidifying area to complete the drying process.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

All door furniture - i.e. handles, hooks, locks etc. - must be removed previous to stripping.

Doors with glass panels can be stripped.
✔
Modern varnished and painted doors can be stripped at extra cost. Please call us for a cost for stripping by hand. Please note that when gloss paint is removed sometimes white emulsion or primers are left underneath.

All work conducted by The Door Stripping Company is carried out by our professional craftsmen with many years’ experience working with pine and oak doors and furniture, and all metalwork.
